Jay Andrew Auxt

Student Testimony: Well, here I am, approaching a new phase in life. Now I have to stop having fun and try to come up with something serious to do. It’s really been a burden trying to figure out what the best thing for me to do with my life. I have too many options. However, God has been showing me that His plan is always perfect and I don’t have to depend on my own ideas. Of course, this is a good thing, considering some of the crazy things I’ve come up with in the past. I am really grateful that God is willing to take the time to come up with a specific plan for me. Even if I don’t know exactly where God is leading me, I can still follow Him one step at a time. He will show me the big picture in His time.

Aside from God’s direct help in getting me through these past twelve years there are many different people He has used to help influence me. My family has definitely been the biggest influence in my life. Aside from them I would like to thank Dennis Walters, Brad Main, David Cox, and Mr. Shilts for being some of my most trusted mentors. I hope you realize how big a part you’ve played in my life. Then, of course, I have to mention some of my lifelong friends; Zack, Matt, Patrick, Caleb, Mark, and Peter. We’ve been through so much. I hope we can do a lot more together in the future.

Future Plans: As far as my future goes, I am currently working for Main Electric and I plan on continuing with them for a while. After that, who knows. I don’t want to get wrapped up in something and not be able to follow God’s plan. So I’ll let God worry about tomorrow and I’ll worry about today.

Gideon Oscar Baugher, V

Student Testimony:    I’ve been home schooled since third grade. I still remember the day my parents first mentioned the idea of home schooling. I wasn’t really happy with being homeschooled, but looking back I’m grateful for my parents decision.

I would like to thank my parents for all their support, love, and care. I’m sure I have been quite a challenge.

I would also like to thank my sister for being a great friend, Uncle Tom and Aunty Vicky for all there love and encouragement. A special thanks goes to my best friends Tommy and Melissa.  But most of all I would like to thank God for His unconditional love, everything He has blessed me with, and the wonderful people He has brought into my life.

Favorite Verse:  Joshua 1:9, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged. For the Lord your God will be with you where ever you go.”

Benjamin Michael Beichler

Student Testimony: Well, graduation is finally here and I still can’t believe it! However, I must realize that I didn’t get here all by myself. With that in mind, I want to thank God for being so wonderfully faithful to me throughout all these years as He taught me many lessons that I frankly didn’t want to learn. Next, I want to thank Mom for all of the patience that she displayed while teaching me, and Dad for all of the encouragement and useful bits of information during key times. In addition, I would like to thank all my brothers, sisters, family, and friends for the part they have played in my education.

Favorite Verse: I Corinthians 2:9, “But as it is written, eye hath not seen nor ear hear, neither have entered into the heart of man the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him.”

Future Plans: At this moment I have been accepted by Towson University and am planning to major in political science and mass communications with a minor in violin performance.

Daniella Joy Bigott

Student Testimony: I thank God for placing me in a Christian family and for keeping me safe from all danger. I accepted Christ at a young age and am still growing in His love and being awed by his miracles.

God has placed a desire in my heart to help the sick and injured people. He has allowed me to work at Rockville Volunteer Fire Department (RVFD) for the past few years and has given me a desire to become an ER nurse. I’ve learned a lot through working at RVFD, the most important one is that life is short. It is not how long we live that matters the most, rather it is what we do with the life God gave us.

Future Plans: I plan on attending Montgomery College this fall to get my associates degree as a paramedic. Afterward I hope to transfer to another college and become a registered nurse.

Favorite Verse: Isaiah 43:2, “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they will not overflow you: and when you walk through the fire, you will not be burned, neither will the flame kindle on you.”

Sara Michael Bistrian

Student Testimony: As my homeschooling experience draws to a close, I must say that I’m half surprised that I came throught it all, sanity intact. The fact that my parents are still sane is even more surprising and for that I must give them my utmost respect and gratitude. They put up with my drama queen antics in which every assignment was either the end of the world or the end of my grade. I guess God pulled us all through and taught me a little about life and reality to boot. It is true that neither I nor my family would have gotten through these past eight years without Him and His infinite patience. In the end, homeschooling gave me flexibility, a broader range of subjects, and the opportunity to learn what God has in store for me in a much more personal way.

Favorite Verses: 2 Chr. 15:7, “Be ye strong therefore, and let not your hands be weak: for your work shall be rewarded.”  Job 38:1-3, “Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said, who is this that darkens my counsel with words without knowledge? Brace yourself like a man; I will question you, and you shall answer me.”

Anna Nicole Bohnett

Student Testimony: I was raised in a Christian home, but it wasn’t until I was at church camp during 8th grade that I actually believed that Christ died for my sins. I have been homeschooled since kindergarten, and have a strong biblical training, especially since my grandfather, who is a former college Bible professor, moved near us. I felt I was pretty in touch with God, and knew everything, so that was why God didn’t need to teach me. Boy, was I wrong! I would like to thank Him, first of all, for my salvation and all the lessons He has taught me. I would like to thank Mom and Dad for all the lessons they have taught me, both in school and out of it. My siblings deserve thanks for putting up with me — especially this year, with my bad case of senioritis. And Grandpa deserves a round of thanks for teaching me my Bible course all four years. Grandma, thanks for being there to giggle with me about boys, clothes or anything else that struck our fancy. And Mr. Elmer, thanks for letting me be “Your Girl.”

Favorite Verse(s): To ask me for my favorite verse is like turning on a fire hose. There are just too many of them. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.” And Psalm 27:14, “Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and He shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.”

Future Plans: I plan to stay home a year and work, then, Lord willing, I will go to Faith Baptist Bible College for an associate’s degree in basic Bible. After that only the Lord knows.

Jennifer Bowers

Student  Testimony:  I am standing here today because God has been so good to me. I think he has had to watch over me extra closely these past few years. What a struggle my middle and high school years were. Without the love and dedication from my parents, and their wise decision to homeschool me, I’m not sure were I would be today. I’m so glad my parents can attend my graduation today and know that everything turned out OK. Thank you for teaching me to be a good person, even though I didn’t always make it easy for you. Emily and Brad thank you for always encouraging me to do the right thing, you will never know how much your company has meant to me. To my grandparents, thank you for being you. For everyone that’s here for me today, thank you for your unconditional love.

Favorite Verse: I Corinthians 13:7, “Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.”

Daniel Lloyd Bradford

Student Testimony: Graduation to me is not an end but a continuation (Col 1:10). The Lord has used my homeschooling experience to help me view my family with a deeper appreciation. Thank you Mom and Dad for choosing to home school me and for teaching me from the Bible on a daily basis. Through the study of the Bible, I have learned what the Lord says about the children and what our purpose is in His plan. In Psalm 127: 4-5 it speaks of children like arrows. I think of this time in our lives as a time when we are shot out for His service. We are not shot into a calm, peaceful meadow, but into a raging, deadly battlefield. Our job is to hit the mark He wants us to, and bring souls to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. When I was between the age of six and seven, the Gospel was made clear to me by my parents. At that point I trusted Christ and became a member of God’s family. As the time passed and I grew older, I was able to spend more time studying the Bible on my own. Through my personal Bible study and the nuture and admonition of a Christian family, I have received a strong calling from the Lord to go into pastoral ministry. Also, the Lord has recently prompted me about combining my interests in agriculture with my ministry plans to bring honor and glory to God.

Favorite Verse: Romans 5:3b-5a, “...we glory in tribulations also, knowing that tribulations worketh patience; and patience, experience; and experience, hope; and hope maketh not ashamed...”

David Brown

Student Testimony: I see the purpose of my life being to reflect the glory of God. Recently I have been able to see why and how He is going to use me for His purpose. I am constantly on the lookout on ways to serve God in my everyday life. In Colossians 3:23 Paul gives a mission saying: Whatever you do, do it heartily, as for the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.-heartily means: Thoroughly, wholeheartedly, vigorously and/or energetic. Whatever I do, I am to do heartily. It is not only better a motivation to do work for God, but it is great work ethic. And this ties into how God will bless me. Paul writes “that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.” WOW. Not only is serving God enough, but He will reward you! He is amazing!

Soon I will be going to Israel to do volunteer work. I will be there for five weeks, and I cannot wait to see what God has in store for me. (Oh, and please pray for me). This fall I am planning on attending Alaska Bible Institute. I am going there to learn to use the Bible, and to hopefully acquire some direction for God’s purpose in my life. The reason that I am going all the way to Alaska to learn the Word of God is because I gave the decision of where I should go to Bible college to my parents, because they are wiser in the subject of God’s teaching Also, Alaska has moose!

Anyways, first off, Dad; Thank you for meeting and marrying Mom, and having me. Mom and Dad, thank you so much for seeking God’s will first, and knowing what’s best. To my siblings, Laura, Ilana, Dara, Avi, Noah and Halle. Thanks for being my siblings, and for the mass amounts of love you show me. Special thanks to the Cox family and all the work they have put into me and WCFS, and thank you to the WCFS staff for all the work you do. And I thank God for bringing me where I am today and for all the grace he has given to the world.

Nancy Loraine Cox

Student Testimony:  As I look back over my years in school, I can see so many things that I am thankful for. God has placed me in a home that has an extreme passion for wanting to serve God and to be used by Him in whatever way He wills. I thank God for my parents and for their love for Him and through that love comes an undying love for each other and for their ten children. Thank you Mom and Dad for not stopping at five and being willing to have six.  Thank you for encouraging me to not give up, even when I felt like quitting school, and for not growing tired of well doing.  I’m also very thankful for my brothers and sisters that God has placed in my life. Thank you Dan, David, Sarah, Abby, Peter, Bekah, Tim, Stevey-weavy, and Joe-bow for all of the fun times that we’ve had together. I pray that we will have many more. I thank God for my grandparents, and for all of my cousins (all eighty some) and for all the friends that God has placed in my life. I am thankful to God for saving my life, for making me His child when I was still young, and for not letting go of me even when I wanted to leave His side. Thank you, Lord, for making me your child and for loving me unconditionally. To God be all the glory, honor, and praise.

Favorite verse:  Isaiah 40:28-31, “Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unreachable. He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall. But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.”

Future Plans: I’m not sure what God has for me yet, but I know that He knows, so all I have to do is rest in His will. I might take a few courses at Frederick Community College, but that’s still undecided. I guess you could say my hopes and dreams are to become a wife and a mother, if that’s what God has for me.

Grace Elizabeth Gallagher

Student Testimony: I am amazed at the goodness of the Lord. Without His love, strength, direction, and grace, I would not be at this threshold of my life. As a child, I always wanted to be older, and I thought once you turned a certain age, you would become wiser and more confident.  I was so wrong. I have been raised and taught in a loving Christian home, and accepted Jesus into my heart at an early age. Oblivious that God had a special classroom waiting for me. A couple of years ago God allowed several difficult physical trials in my life. This brought me closer to Him, and gave me a deeper understanding of His word. I know He has a purpose for my life. He has redeemed me with His blood. He loves me unconditionally. Thank you, Lord, for dying for me, and putting me through those trials to cleanse and purge me. Thank you Lord for blessing me with two wonderful parents who love me so very much and have sacrificed and given me what I needed - not always what I wanted! Your investment of time, wisdom, and instruction means everything to me. John and Patrick: thank you for enriching my life, playing sports with me, and being my toughest food critics. In addition, thank you, Kelly. You are a wonderful friend, a Godly example, and an encouragement to me in many various ways.

Future Plans: I feel God leading me into the medical field. However, I am waiting on God’s and my parents’ timing and direction.

Favorite Verse: Psalms 119:49-50, “Remember the word unto thy servant, upon which thou hast caused me to hope. This is my comfort in my affliction: for thy word hath quickened me.”

Ashley Lauren Hall

Student Testimony:   My awesome Creator and glorious King is the Savior and purpose of my life. All that I am, all that I have, and all that I do are from His hand and for His glory. My prayer is that He will continuously conform my life to His standards.

I thank God for the wonderful people He has put in my life. My parents have raised me superbly in every way. They encouraged spiritual growth throughout my entire life. They knew my scholastic limits and pushed me to achieve them. And they shaped my character well, even though I still stand as a shameful sinner today. Whitney has always been a sister to whom I could go and discuss my problems and difficulties. She was always available to listen. Caleb has the art of revealing my fun side. My friends Rachael Cooper, Jennifer Willard, and others have always been there for me, helped me to see my faults, and encouraged me.

I thank my God for all that He has given me, my family for their constant love, my friends for encouraging me, and my church for discipling me. He has been so good to me for the past seventeen years.

Future Plans:  I plan to attend the Masters College near Los Angeles, California, to double-major in accounting, with the intention to become a Certified Public Accountant, and Bible languages. Throughout my college years, I am sure that God will continue to reveal His will for my life.

Favorite Verse:  Proverbs 31:10, “Who can find a virtuous wife?  For her worth is far above rubies.”

Brandon Pierce Johnson

Student Testimony: I came to Christ at about the age of seven or eight at a Vacation Bible Study run by my church. I remember that everybody was sitting in the sanctuary listening to Mr. Schmidt talk about Jesus and how great He was. I decided that I wanted to start to follow Jesus right then; Mr. Schmidt prayed a prayer, and whoever was ready to accept Jesus could repeat that prayer to themselves. After he had finished praying he asked the people in the sanctuary who said that prayer to raise their hands. Along with a few others, I raised my hand. From that moment on, I have been following Jesus and have been setting an example to my other friends that might not have the Lord in their hearts.

Favorite Verse: Philippians 3:2-3, “Watch out for those dogs, those men who do evil, those mutilators of the flesh. For it is we who are the circumcision, we who worship by the Sprit of God, who glory in Christ Jesus, and who put no confidence in the flesh.”

Anna Michelle Kenley

Student Testimony:   My dad is a pastor, so I was taught about Christ and becoming a Christian when I was very young. As I listened and learned the truths of Christ, I desired to trust Him and please Him through everything in my life. I accepted God as my Lord and Savior at the age of six. God continues to work in my life as I look to Him to lead and guide me.

Favorite verse:  Hebrews 12:1-2, “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

Future Plans: I plan to start Cosmetology school in the fall at the Robert Paul Academy in Towson.

Ryan Hamilton Kimmel

Student Testimony: I thank God for these last few years of homeschooling. In these years God has shown me to work hard and do my best at everything I do. My parents have been an incredible asset to my life. They have given me the chance to grow in an environment that is centered on God and have done so with all their love and support. My parents have not only instructed me in academics but also in my character and in my relationship with Jesus. To me this is the most priceless lesson learned that I can take into my future.

Future Plans: Although my future plans are not specific, my desire is to glorify God. This summer I will continue working and in the fall will be attending the community college.

Favorite Verse: Romans 4:20-20, “He did not waiver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what he had promised He was also able to perform.”

Philip Nathaniel Lacy

Student Testimony: I never thought about writing one of these kinds of pages in a yearbook. Mainly because I never thought I would actually graduate from school because of doing it year in and year out! Little by little I’m now starting to realize that all of the meaningless facts and never ending equations may be of use down the road! I can see that God has a plan for my future, and that He is in the process of preparing me for things to come. The time has come to put this chapter of my life behind me and to look forward to the new things that God has for me. Being the class treasurer for the past two years has interested me in pursuing short-term online investing as a side job. This fall I plan to attend Frederick Community College. In the near future I hope to be going to college and studying Business and English. For now I am planning to stay in Frederick and enjoy life and my many hobbies like snowboarding, paintballing, and building/racing cars with my dad.

My parents are two of the greatest people I have ever known. If it weren’t for their dedication to God’s best in my life, I definitely wouldn’t be here in this school, and be living for Him. They have blessed me so much in my life, and I want to say, “Thank you, Mom and Dad,” for training me in the way of the Lord and His righteousness. I know that God has many, many rewards for your faithfulness and surviving through the torture of the past nineteen years of my life!!  You both are totally awesome!!

My life would not be complete without Jesus Christ. Since my salvation about sixteen years ago, my life has been spent growing physically, spiritually, and mentally. It seems that whenever I think I know everything there is to know about God, He surprises me and shows me something new. I have realized that being a Christian means more then just going to church. I have had to make a choice every day, to live for Him in light of all the distractions the enemy would want me to follow. By God’s grace I have made it this far in life, and I know that by His grace I will make it through the rest of the journey. Thank-You, God, for Your faithfulness and the unfailing love that You have shown me. You truly are my Hero.

Last, I want to thank my many friends, WCFS people, and family members for being such a support to me in my life and keeping me strong in following after God and His ways. There are many of you that I’ve not been able to spend much time with, but I cherish the times that we are able to talk and hang out. Thank you all for being there for me. Farewell WCFS. I look forward to filling out one of those “Where Are They Now?” pages!

Favorite Verse:  I Corinthians 4:2, “Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful.”

Brooke Lee Macri

Student Testimony: As I look back on this year, I can really see how far God has brought me. He has taught me so much, and has used each experience in my life to shape me into the person I am today. And there is no possible way for me to thank Him the way He deserves to be thanked. He has been my shelter, and place to hide since I was eight years old. I know that without Him I am nothing. Surprisingly, I have enjoyed my school work. Of course there were those days when slacking off seemed more appealing, but I liked the satisfaction of getting something accomplished. I am so thankful for my mom making the decision to homeschool me. I know the lessons I learned from her could not be found in any classroom at a regular school. I honestly don’t know where I would be now if it weren’t for her love and guidance. Thanks to all my friends, for their willingness to always be there for me, and making life a lot of fun! As this chapter of my life closes, I look forward in anticipation of what God has for me. He has used this chapter to prepare me for the next, and I will offer myself wholeheartedly to do His work.

Favorite Verse: Philippians 3:8, “What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ.”

James Michael Briele McClure

Student Testimony: I have been homeschooled for the past eleven years of my life. In those eleven years I have had many good experiences through homeschooling, including going to Florida for an archeological dig. I have been studying Issin-ryu karate for over three years, and reached the rank of blue belt. I have also been a member of the Civil Air Patrol, where I am serving in the position of Cadet Commander.

Future Plans: After I graduate, I plan on continuing to work at my job. In the future I plan on starting my own disaster restoration company.

Favorite Verse: Job 41:11 “To what man must I pay wages? Everything under heaven is mine.”

Ryan Alexander Moore

Student testimony:   First of all I would like to thank God for what He has done in my life and in my parents life. All the credit goes to Him. He blessed my parents with saving faith before I was born and gave them the desire to homeschool me and my siblings. From then on God gave my parents lots of patience, perseverance, and hope, in spite of all the challenges they encountered while raising and homeschooling me for twelve years.

Mom and Dad, thanks for all the prayers and late night talks, and thank you so much for the time and effort that you spent teaching me even when I wasn’t always grateful.

I would also like to thank my sisters and brother for the refining influence they have on my life, I really wouldn’t be the same person without you guys.

Favorite Verse: Romans 8:28, “And we know that all things work together for good, to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”

I like this verse because I have seen God working out things in my life that seemed bad at the time, but in the end turned out to be for my good, and this verse reminds me of that.

Future Plans:  I hope to either attend ALERT in the fall for an EMT and several other certifications or else I would like to earn a degree in sports medicine.

Zachary Dean Parsons

Student Testimony:  At a younger age, graduation appeared to me as the day that was barely shy of eternity, but now here it is. I do not know if this was just a simple misconception on my part or if it is a small illustration of our mortality. In either case, I have made it, but not on my own. Along my journey to this time in my life I was continually influenced from many angles; for my parents, family, friends, and ultimately my Maker I will be eternally grateful. He, Christ, not only gave me the strength and ability to continue, but was always there to pick me up when I stumbled and put me back in the way He knew I should go. And it is Him who I am seeking continually for guidance in my future.

Future Plans: At the present moment, I am interested in going to art school so that I could further my abilities that God has given to me. Although the future to me seems a little hazy, I do not have to be distressed over it because I know the One who holds it. And it is comforting to know that it is in good hands.

Favorite verse:  1 Cor. 15:58, “Therefore, my brethren, be ye steadfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.”

Christopher David Peeler

Student Testimony:  Wow, it’s been a great ride. I serve a great God. He has been so faithful over the years. He’s kept my head above the water when it seemed impossible. God has used many different things and people in my life to keep me following after Him. To my Dad: I love you so much. Thanks for all the geometry lessons. We did grow!! More importantly, thanks for standing strong on your convictions. It has been amazing to see how you have never backed down in your training of me; always obeying the word of God. Mom, thanks for always going the extra mile for me. God has given you such a great servants’ heart. I have been truly blessed to have you as a mommy. Hope, Joy, Charity and Faith: hats off to you. You are great. I always wondered how you ever lived having a brother like me. More so, I can’t believe that I’m still alive having four sisters. On a more serious note, you have been one of God’s greatest blessings in my life. Thanks for encouraging me in my walk with the Lord. It has been great being homeschooled in Walkersville. The staff has been great over the years. A big thank you to Mr. Gary for obeying the call of God.

Favorite Verse: Joel 2:28-29, “And it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams, Your young men shall see visions. And also on My men servants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days.”

Future Plans:   I plan to attend Anne Arundel Community College this fall majoring in business. After Community College I will transfer to a four year school. After college I would like to attend a bible college.

Seth Thomas Walker

Student Testimony: One part of my life has been completed and finished, and now, another part of life will begin. Not much can be said to even hint the feeling of all this, so a “whoop! whoop!” will do.

Where to start! I want to say thanks to God for it is because of Him that all these things are done, and I wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for Him. He is so awesome and amazing, to teach me so much, and to have such great love for His people. So for all this, the glory is God’s. God has been so good to me. I know He loves me so much and I can only return His love with my love and life because of everything He is and has done. What an awesome time I had during my school years; I was able to learn so much and enjoyed doing it. I wish I had learned to enjoy school earlier so I would have learned even more.

Well, my family is a big part of my life, imagine that! I only wish I would open up more to them but I’m still learning, and God is still working. I don’t know what I would do without them. They have been there everyday, even when they were going through times of incredible struggle that I had no idea about; God’s grace is amazing and brought them through because He is faithful when we trust Him.

I love you all so much, Dad, Mom, Travis, Zach, Isaac, Nathaniel, Rebekah, and my soon-to-be sister-in-law (who has always been my sister in heart), Rachel. You are all amazing and have done so much in my life. My parents, Paul and Karen Walker, thank you so much. I love you beyond words: though I know I don’t show it sometimes. You are amazing parents. What can be said other than “thank you,” and “you are a gift from God to me.”

Future Plans: Well, I know that God has so much for me to learn and do in this next step of my life, and I can’t wait to see what that is! I have been praying for God’s direction concerning what I should do, and I believe He wants me to become a teacher. It is heavy on my heart to do so. I hope to use it for missions work in the future, for God has called me to be a missionary. I plan to attend Harford Community College for a few years and then head to Eastern Nazarene College.

I know that God will be with me every step of the way, for I am following Him and His way; it is not He who is following “my way.” But God is faithful to pursue us even though we may turn to the right or left.

Favorite Verse: I want to share a verse in closing that has really impacted my life. John 15:12-13, “This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.” How awesome it would be if the church would love everyone like this. What a change it would bring. Well, we have to keep pursuing such a love, and learn how to love in this way. It’s a command from the King, so we must live it out!

Asriel Yousefi

Student testimony:  Being homeschooled all my life, I was taught to trust God in everything. Since I was facing Advanced Math and a 20-page research paper for my final year that was a very useful concept! In God’s mercy, He gave me a wonderful family to help bear some of those burdens.

Merci beaucoup Mom and Dad for all the late night talks and the encouragement that you guys have given me. Shahin - what more could a girl ask for in a big brother? Beth, my other older sister - you’re the greatest. Tara, you and I make a great debate team! Micah, my competitive other half, it’s all good. Sheariah, you’re my best friend.

- Ro, stop being dogmatic! Lots of love to you. Jed, my lacrosse star, see you in the MLL. Raffy, my pitcher/goalie point guard dude... I love you man. Moriah -El- you keep me on my toes, that’s a good thing ... I think. And last, but obviously not least, Jesus, thanks for being by my side 24/7. I could never make it through this thing called life if it weren’t for You.  I love You.

Favorite verse: He must become greater; I must become lesser. John 3:30. The reason that that is my favorite verse? Self-explanatory.

In Christ Alone

Verse One

In Christ Alone, My hope is found.

He is my light, my strength, my song.

This cornerstone, this solid ground

Firm through the fiercest drought and storm

What heights of love, What depths of peace

When fears are stilled, when strivings cease

My comforter, My all in all

Here in the love of Christ I stand.

Verse Two

In Christ Alone!- Who took on flesh

Fullness of God in helpless babe!

This gift of love and righteousness,

Scorned by the ones he came to save:

Till on that cross as Jesus died,

The wrath of God was satisfied -

For every sin on him was laid;

Here in the death of Christ I live.

Verse Three

There in the ground His body lay,

Light of the world by darkness slain:

Then bursting forth in glorious day

Up from the grave he rose again!

And as he stands in victory

Sin’s curse has lost its grip on me,

For I am his and he is mine -

Verse Four

No guilt in life, no fear in death

This is the power of Christ in me;

From life’s first cry to final breath,

Jesus commands my destiny.

No power of hell, no scheme of man

Can ever pluck me from his hand;

Till He returns or calls me home,

Here in the power of Christ I’ll stand!
