Dear Friends,
Our family has been going through a difficult time lately. A precious friend has passed away and my aunt, my Mom’s sister, does not have much time left with us. Both of these people were diagnosed with cancer and within a month of the diagnosis, it was declared terminal.

The roads were so icy that the farther they drove, the more difficult it became to crest each successive hill....

The Pent family, ten in all including the parents, was not a typical family of the 1930’s through the 1960’s. Their vision and first priority was to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ wherever the Lord led them. Many times they could be seen throwing luggage into their large truck or three cars, whichever they had at the time, and then piling themselves in wherever room presented itself. Then their trip would begin...

Even though Ashley Shaftesbury was from an upper class family, living in aristocratic London, he still had the question...

Popular today is the theme, "Never give up." It is used in a variety
of circumstances, from sports to dream-seeking. The basic
illustration it confers is the stubborn determination to suck all you
can from this life, from yourself, from others; it emphasizes the
power of self over hardship and obstacles. It is used in Christian
circles as well, but there the focus is clinging to God, not
ourselves....

But God loves everyone. That is why, later on in history, he sent his only Son...

Have you ever thought about worship before; like, really thought about it? There are so many ways of giving praise to God, aren’t there! It can be simply praying and thanking God for His many blessings, or marveling at the awesomeness of His creation.

Do you ever think about your future? I’m sure everyone does. We think of what our life will be like, the people we’ll meet, and a future spouse. When I think of my future, I think of my desires being fulfilled. More than likely, everyone at our age has college, marriage, or a dream career as our desires.

Most of you have probably heard of the law of entropy; that everything on its own tends toward chaos. This is part of the scientific proof for the existence of a Creator of the universe. Even though the law of entropy can be applied this way quite effectively, there are other places were it is relevant as well.

Okay, so this month I want to talk about evangelism. Several of my very good friends have had the chance to go on mission trips this year. When they came back, their enthusiasm for the Lord, and the way that He had opened their eyes to more needs than theirs led them to becoming almost different people, having been changed for the better.
