Many people question their existence. I too have often wondered what my purpose or excuse was to live. We often do not take time to stop and think about it because we are too busy running around trying to find the answer. The answer is simple, if we believe it is true; we will find that our reason for living rests is in the redeeming grace of Jesus Christ. He is the hope of all the Nations.

When my wife and I first heard the news that we were to have a child, the very first thought I had was the sober reality of raising a child who was headed for hell without the intervening Grace of God. My whole focus narrowed to this daunting task of training "up a child in the way he should go so that when he is old, he won't depart". (Proverbs 22:6)

Let me share with you part of the morning message from November 7, from Charles Spurgeon’s, “Morning and Evening”. The verse he quotes is: “Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands.” Is. 49:16, he then shares, “How dare you doubt My constant remembrance, when the memorial is set on My very own flesh?”

My wife and I are frequently asked this question when we are out with our whole crew. My wife and I came to our convictions about family planning as young believers who earnestly desired a scriptural basis for discerning what Christ demanded of us as disciples. We felt that there must be absolutes that are clearly revealed in scripture in order for us to assess what is our domain and what is God’s for making our “family” decisions.
