Love for Eternity

   I am so humbled by God’s amazing love, mercy, and forgiveness. With all my sins... He still loves me.... I can’t comprehend love like that. None of us can! The Bible says in 1 John 4:16 that “...God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.” He gave His only Son to die on a cross so that we may live with Him for eternity. Little sinful me? Live with Him for eternity? Wow. Ha!

   I look at the world and see pain, hate, and death. Why is it so attractive? We have all God’s eternal love and yet we still want “love” that comes from so many hurtful things that won’t last. Satan is trying to get us to see the “love” that comes from these things. Then, as soon as we’re caught, we see what we got ourselves into. “If ye were of the world, the world would love his own; but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.” John 15:19. We need to stand fast in our faith not matter what. “For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38-39. Nothing will be able to separate us! Nothing!

   We will be with Jesus for eternity. Satan has no power where Christ rules. So give your heart entirely to Him! Don’t ever trust the things of the world, it is the path to destruction. I don’t want to take for granted this endless gift of Love that He gives.
