Hi, Fellow Students! 

   With the first month of school behind us and Thanksgiving almost upon us, I can only think of one good  topic for this month’s newsletter:  THANKS!!

   Being thankful is a very  important quality, as I have recently discovered.  And I don’t just mean thankful for good stuff: what about things that annoy or bother you?  Sure, it’s easy to be thankful for a good friend or a new puppy, but what about a younger brother or Latin, for example? 

   God has called us to be thankful in all things, so are we really being obsequious by not being thankful in all things? 

   I exhort all of you to try something:  whenever a situation comes up that does not exactly bring thankful thoughts and feelings to mind, pray and ask God to help you be thankful for how He is working in what seems to be a problem.

   Another thing that will help you be more thankful to God is to thank other people more often, like thanking your hard working father for working to support his family each day when he comes home, or to thank your mom for spending time explaining a problem in Math or any other subject!  Remember to thank your siblings for things, too!!!

   Thanks so much to those who sent in sentences for October!  I really appreciate any student participation, and encourage you to send in anything that will develop a deeper relationship with the Creator!

   Have a thankful Thanksgiving and enjoy the time off, and  the not-time-off!  Remember to glorify God in all things!!!
