One Long Sentence

By Rebekah Cox, Junior High

Everyone, student or parent, that has ever written a small paper or essay or even a letter knows that a good sentence does not have a whole lot of words in it in that way we are giving the reader the ability to stop and think about what they just read and also making it easier to split up thoughts to be able to make easy paragraphs, such as 5 to 6 sentences long we then provide the reader with the ability to comprehend what we are talking about and so our thought does not drag on and on and on and on and on and on and on and making your audience tired of reading your text and also having the reader miss the point of what we wrote and so leaving no point to what we just said because we keep on dragging it out, longer and longer, and longer and longer and longer and longer and longer and longer and so it keeps going until the reader can no longer stand to read what we wrote because all it looks like is a lot of words on a piece of paper in One Long Sentence; see how I never put a period in until right now; go ahead and look over it if you don’t believe me.

So, weren’t you glad to see the period? It would have helped if I had put some more commas and semicolons in too, huh? Get the point? From now on, watch carefully how long your sentences are. Hope you enjoyed reading (if that is possible).
