Participation Rules

The following rules apply to all projects & participants:

1.) Projects must be done and presented in accordance with the rules & project format descriptions.

2.) Projects must be left on display during the full period of time on both days of the Expo. Depending on the nature of your project (e.g. demonstration booths) it may be necessary for you to be present both days. Otherwise, you may arrange for someone else to bring or remove your project. Projects left at the Expo become the property of the Expo staff and will be disposed of at our own discretion. Please do not ask Expo personnel to set up or remove your project.

3.) Every project must provide a distinct Christian testimony to viewers / hearers. It is suggested that each student provide a short, written or oral statement with their project for this purpose.

This statement should include:

  1. Title of the project.

  2. The purpose of the project / presentation; "What needs does this project attempt to meet?"

  3. What was learned from the project; "How did the project succeed in meeting its goals?"

  4. Biblical purpose of the project; "What Bible verse best illustrates this project?"

4.) Do not display student name on projects. Special registration cards will be affixed on all projects at time of display. We hope to discourage competitive spirits of pride and boasting. "Yea and he that boasts, let him boast in the Lord!" I Cor. 1:31

5.) Projects not meeting the standards established for the Expo will not be displayed.

6) Students shall dress with modesty and propriety. Collared shirts & slacks required for boys, skirts or dresses for girls. Students may dress in costumes befitting their project if so desired.

7) Project entry deadline is Monday the week before the Expo. Students entering a project must submit an entry form - one form per project.
Entries may be limited based on time and space available. Get your entries in early. You will be notified if any of your projects cannot be entered. See the events schedule for more information.

8) Project Registration will be on Friday from 1 p.m. till 4 p.m. at the Expo Exhibit Hall. Project may be picked up Saturday after 4 p.m. Early pick-up prohibited.

Additional rules apply to each specific format of project. These rules are listed with the project format descriptions.
